How to read Latvia’s Nord Pool electricity prices
This table shows today’s day-ahead electricity prices for Latvia’s bidding area (LV), in euro cents per kilowatt-hour (c/kWh). Each cell represents a 15-minute interval. Times follow Europe/Riga, not your device’s local time zone.
Use the VAT switch to compare prices with or without VAT. The chart describes the electricity market price, not your complete bill: your supplier’s markup, network charges and other contract costs are separate.
Spotvolt currently uses the Latvian price area. This English edition explains the same service for international readers; it does not switch the chart to another country. A cheaper interval is useful only when your appliance can safely run then.
Prices load from Elering when you open the page. If the feed is unavailable, missing values are shown as unavailable—not as zero or a forecast. Compare the intervals, then choose a price threshold, cheapest hours or a time window in your plug’s settings.

Select Today to view this day’s prices. Now identifies the current 15-minute interval; Average summarises the selected day. For a longer appliance cycle, compare the full operating period rather than one cheap cell.
Tomorrow’s electricity prices
Select Tomorrow to plan consumption using published day-ahead prices. If the feed has not received them yet, the table says so. Missing data is not a zero price, and today’s values are not used as a forecast for tomorrow.
Hourly and 15-minute Nord Pool prices
Each hour has four quarter-hour intervals. An hourly average can conceal their differences. Spotvolt shows each interval separately, with colours to help compare the displayed price levels.
What does one kWh cost including VAT?
The table uses cents/kWh: 10 cents/kWh equals €0.10 per kilowatt-hour. At 21% VAT, that example rate before tax becomes 12.10 cents/kWh. Supplier fees, network services and other contract charges are not included.
