Will it fit my appliance?
A simple way to check compatibility
It comes down to comparing your appliance power rating against the plug load. That number is usually on the appliance label, the power supply or in the manual.
What does AC 100-240 V mean?
It means the plug is designed for a normal domestic mains supply. Latvian sockets run at about 230 V, which sits comfortably inside that range.
What does a 16 A maximum load mean?
16 A at 230 V works out at roughly 3680 W. Check the label or manual before you connect: if the rating is under that limit and the appliance is safe to switch at the socket, it will usually be fine.
When should you ask first?
If the appliance draws a lot, has a motor with a heavy start-up surge, or you simply are not sure of the load, get in touch before ordering. Leaving some headroom is safer than running right at the limit.
